Connor Carlbom Aurum Staff Alright, before I start this review, I want to straighten out a common misconception. The 1982, John Carpenter version of The Thing that I will be reviewing today is not the original. It is a remake of a 1951 sci-fi/horror film titled The Thing from Another World which has the same basic plot.

Connor Carlbom Aurum Staff I feel inclined to review The Darkest Hour simply because it was one of two movies I saw in theaters during winter break. The other was The Adventures of Tintin, which was fun and we had the theater to ourselves, which was also pretty fun. The Darkest Hour is not in any way fun.
