What do Beverly Hills, Orange County, New Jersey, Atlanta, New York and Washington D.C. have in common? These are the locations of the “Real Housewives.” What does it take to be a real housewife? Fake body parts, designer clothes and loads of money.
My favorite set of housewives include the gals from Orange County. Not just because I spent most of high school watching the FX series Orange County, but because of the cattiness between the ladies. My favorite was when Gretchen was just added to the show and the ladies just hated her for being a “gold digger.” As if they all weren’t gold diggers at one point!
Another one of my favorite parts about watching the housewives is how the show’s producers pay for the ladies to go to the spa or to Las Vegas. All for opportunities to actually tape the housewives together converse and bad mouth each other.
I personally am jealous of their lifestyle. Even though I have struggled my way through an engineering degree, I still think it would be lovely to be a pampered lady. I would love if my only concern was which of my friends to eat lunch with each afternoon or how many hours I could spend in the gym before I needed to get ready for my personal chef dinner.
