Left Brain, Right Brain

By Louisa Burden Feature Editor We’ve all see pictures that make us instantly think, “That has to be Photoshopped!” With all the photo editing software available, photographers don’t always take the time to create an interesting image without using a computer to manipulate the entire image. Caleb Charland is one exception to this rule. He uses multiple exposures in his photography to create images that are beautiful and seemingly unrealistic.

The lack of channel options during my internship this summer really put me behind on my favorite reality family’s drama on my go-to channels. Complaining about missing multiple episodes on television sounds lame, but everyone has their vice, and mine happens to be reality TV shows.

Freshmen will be first class to cheer for NCAA Div. II athletics

By Jerika Ihnen Aurum Staff The School of Mines received word this summer from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) that it has been accepted as an NCAA Div. II institution. The Hardrockers applied to become NCAA affiliated June 1, along with Black Hills State University and 10 other NAIA institutions.

Graduate school questions get answered

However, the path to graduate school can start as early as the freshmen year. Dr. Toni Logar, Interim Dean of Graduate Education at the School of Mines, welcomes students to the Graduate Education Office to get advice.

Soccer season is here for Tech Soccer Club
